semantic-release
Package to release and deploy with the semantic-release library.
Introduction
What is this package about? In software development, one often has to deal with packages and software that are versioned. In the past, this versioning was done manually by developers through predefined rules. This is not only very complex, it is also very vulnerable to errors or even to incomplete data such as logging changes for a changelog.
To address all these issues, there is a semantic versioning specification, which is technically implemented by the Semantic Release Package.
For this, there are still some things that you have to consider as a developer, even though some things are technically covered, but these topics are not that extensive, and you can deal with them well.
There are 2 main points to consider for the set-up:
Project
The first thing is How to set up the project to use semantic-release?. Which explains what needs to be done within then repository and GitLab to make the semantic-release package work.
Usage
The other thing is What does every developer needs to do?. This could be seen more than a guideline on how to commit and work to be able to use semantic-release.
